Graduate of the Eastman School of Music, Alden Gatt is a sought-after conductor and accompanist. Currently an assistant conductor at the Dallas Opera and a coach at San Francisco Opera, Mr. Gatt was on staff at the Berlin Staatsoper for two seasons, where he worked closely with Daniel Barenboim, Simone Young, Antonio Pappano and Sir Simon Rattle. He recently assisted Thomas Guggeis at the Theater an der Wien.


The winner of the 2015 Marilyn Horne Song Competition at the Music Academy of the West, Mr. Gatt appeared in Carnegie Hall as a part of the 2016 "The Song Continues" Masterclass Series, as well as on WXQR in recital with mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard and baritone Ben Dickerson. During his three seasons at Oper Leipzig, Mr. Gatt also performed in concert with the Gewandhaus Orchestra, with Wallis Giunta in the Messiaen Tage Festival, and with Nora Lentner at the Mendelssohn-Haus as part of the 2019 Bachfest Leipzig.
